Description
Chlorophilia is a new project by Ross Lovegrove, which once again highlights Artemide's skill in the light engine of the lighting body through its unique approach to organic and fluid forms. It reveals a contrast of delicate tones interacting with the space and completing it. Its body contains a COB LED that functions as a heat sink, as well as light phytomorphic elements made of molded pmma, which combine the gently undulating texture with a stepped irregular section that functions as an optical lens. The suspended central body emits indirect light, which is filtered and refracted by three clear surfaces, whose natural shape is reminiscent of natural elements, leaves. These three elements are arranged in a sunburst display and partially overlapped to multiply the shadow contrast, thus generating a scenic effect on the ceiling, but combined with appropriate ambient lighting. Chlorophyll defines an optical and constructive principle, which can be reproduced by multiplying its elements to create compositions that develop on multiple levels in space or whose width is extended.
