Description
Tanho is a traditional Portuguese stool that is part of the collective heritage and identity of the people of Santarém. It is made from a natural fiber obtained from an indigenous plant: the bunho. It is a type of reed that grows on the banks of lakes and streams and acts as a natural filter to extract pollutants from the watercourses. Tanhos are made by local craftsmen. Good design is sustainable.
